Steven Shein's jewellery line began as an avant-garde, anti-consumerist art project of wearable, oversized pieces. Inspired by the idea of making the most of everyday materials, Steven Shein favours inexpensive materials such as wood and plexiglass over precious metals and gemstones. He also keeps his lines free of imported materials and outsourced labour. Every piece is laser-cut in his own studio, and his designs are eagerly snapped up by major pop stars.
