Description

Balenciaga Soda Can Necklace – Gold (2022)

Balenciaga's witty take on everyday objects: a bold chain necklace whose links are modelled on the ring-pulls of soda cans. Stacked, ribbed links interlock with sculpted pull-tab plates, in an aged antique gold-tone finish that gives the piece a warm, raw, industrial character.

The design comes from Demna's Fall 2022 The Lost Tape collection, which imagined a fictional, 'lost' Balenciaga show from 1990. This is not vintage Balenciaga, but a Demna-era piece made with a deliberately retro, archival look — ribbed metal inspired by soda cans, which is why this line is known as the 'soda can' jewellery.

  • Designer: Balenciaga (Demna)
  • Collection: Fall 2022 – The Lost Tape
  • Material: aluminium, aged gold-tone finish
  • Style: chunky soda can ring-pull chain necklace
  • Closure: lobster clasp
  • Condition: very good condition

A sought-after contemporary designer piece for the true collector.

Caring for vintage jewelry

Vintage jewelry lasts longest when kept dry and stored separately. Put it on last and take it off first: perfume, hairspray and skin cream all attack the plating.

Polish only with a soft, dry cloth. No water, no soap and no silver polish — that strips the layer off.
