About Christian Lacroix

Christian Lacroix founded his Paris couture house in 1987 and became famous for colourful, theatrical, baroque fashion. His costume jewellery is just as bold: large, richly decorated pieces in gilt metal, enamel, glass, resin and crystals, made to complete his opulent looks.

Provenance & authenticity

Every piece is checked for maker’s marks, construction and materials before we list it. Anything we cannot attribute with certainty we sell as unsigned — never as designer.

Caring for vintage jewelry

Vintage jewelry lasts longest when kept dry and stored separately. Put it on last and take it off first: perfume, hairspray and skin cream all attack the plating.

Polish only with a soft, dry cloth. No water, no soap and no silver polish — that strips the layer off.
