Encouraged by Gianni Versace, the late Franco Moschino founded the Moschino label in 1983. He became famous for his bold, eccentric designs, gold chains, his use of colour and pop art inspired prints. He was a controversial figure who criticised the fashion industry and used his collections as campaigns for social awareness.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Moschino's message of 'love and peace' continually carried through in the jewellery of that era, with striking designs such as large gold letters, playful pendants and symbols of love, peace and freedom. Moschino's jewellery was known for its statement look and became an extension of the brand's rebellious and expressive attitude.
Moschino remains the go-to label for expressive, rebellious women who want to question conventional fashion.

Caring for vintage jewelry
Vintage jewelry lasts longest when kept dry and stored separately. Put it on last and take it off first: perfume, hairspray and skin cream all attack the plating.
Polish only with a soft, dry cloth. No water, no soap and no silver polish — that strips the layer off.
