About Pierre Balmain
Pierre Balmain opened his Paris couture house in 1945 and dressed the elegant women of the post-war era in his signature 'Jolie Madame' style. The house's costume jewellery, created to complement its couture collections, is known for bold gold-tone metal, crystals, faux pearls and crests — luxurious pieces with a strong sense of structure.

Caring for vintage jewelry
Vintage jewelry lasts longest when kept dry and stored separately. Put it on last and take it off first: perfume, hairspray and skin cream all attack the plating.
Polish only with a soft, dry cloth. No water, no soap and no silver polish — that strips the layer off.
