Agatha is a French fashion-jewellery brand founded by Michel Quiniou. He was inspired to create a fashion-jewellery brand that bridged the gap between luxury boutiques and understated small shops. In 1974 he launched his line with an unusual aim: to turn affordable into chic. The first Agatha boutique opened in 1976 on the rue de Rennes in Paris. It offers an extensive, glamorous collection of earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, watches, brooches and an endless array of dazzling charms.

The Scottish terrier has been the company's mascot since the 1970s.
