About Lea Stein
Lea Stein is a Paris-based artist who began making jewellery in the late 1960s. Together with her husband she developed a unique technique of laminating very thin sheets of cellulose acetate (rhodoid), which were baked and then cut into shape — the secret behind her playful, figurative brooches of animals, characters and graphic forms, now prized by collectors worldwide.

Caring for vintage jewelry
Vintage jewelry lasts longest when kept dry and stored separately. Put it on last and take it off first: perfume, hairspray and skin cream all attack the plating.
Polish only with a soft, dry cloth. No water, no soap and no silver polish — that strips the layer off.
