Dior's vintage jewellery from the 1950s, '60s and '70s is renowned for its richness and artisanal quality. It was often lavishly executed with faux pearls, sparkling Swarovski crystals, gilt brass or bronze and refined enamel techniques. Typical themes in the designs were flowers, leaves, insects, stars, suns and baroque scrolls, referencing nature and romance – both important sources of inspiration for Dior.
