Steven Shein's jewellery line began as an avant-garde, anti-consumerist art project of wearable & oversized jewellery. Inspired by the idea of maximising commonly used materials, Steven Shein prefers inexpensive materials, such as wood or plexiglass, over precious metals and gemstones. He also keeps his lines free of imported materials or outsourced labour from, for example, China. All jewellery is laser cut in his own studio. His designs are eagerly bought by major pop stars.
